Hi friends! Happy New Year! This New Year's Week is proving to be an extreme and dangerously cold weather week for our homeless friends. We are asking for help in getting three essential items that can help. Cold weather shelters are open every night. Execept for the Mission and RITI, they close by 8am and do not open again until the evening. What do you do to stay warm through out the day? We are collecting Hand, Toe and Body Warmers ALL Winter long. But we would like to hand them out every day this week if possible and not just on Saturdays at our Breakfast. You can purchase the items at places like Walmart, Target, Amazon, Sam's Club or Army surplus stores. If you shop online, you can have it delivered directly to The Cookery. Or you can donate online and note: Warm Hands and we can purchase the items. Thanks again for stepping into 2018 with giving hearts!
